    Lynne Nichols captures visual juxtapositions, often with a storyteller's penchant for "character" and "place". A newly-minted Core Member of The Bakery Photography Collective, she resides in her beloved birth-city of Portland and simultaneously pines for the rural, coastal community where she "learned to see".

    Nick Gervin is a documentary and fine art photographer from Portland, Maine. He has had his work published in many local and international magazines, as well as several photo books. Currently serving as the BPC President.

    In addition to street photography and portraiture, Kennedy now increasingly works in the 19th century alternative processes of gum dichromate and cyanotype.

  • Nanci Kahn

    Nanci Kahn is a photographer and artist living in Falmouth, Maine. She is the Curator of Photography at the Maine Jewish Museum and also works as an Assistant Preparator at the Portland Museum of Art.

    Maya Tihtiyas Attean is an artist residing in Portland, Maine. She grew up on Alnabe Menahan or Indian Island. Her primary mediums are photography and graphic design. She is currently earning her BFA in photography at the Maine College of Art and Design.

    Ruth Sylmor, a member of the Bakery Photo Collective since 2002, is dedicated to making analog photography.

    Sean Thomas is a Portrait and Landscape Photographer living and working in Maine.

    Seans' work looks at the minutiae in the world around us, seeing spaces for the details that lie within. In Sean's portrait work he aims to present his subjects in their space and in the best light possible.

    Ian spends part of the year on a small Maine outer island community. He captures images of what is around him on everything from a 4x5 view camera to a polaroid and his iPhone.

    Richard Wexler is a street photographer. He’s always been fascinated by the little things that people do - their gestures, postures, expressions – as they interact with their worlds and invite us to create our own stories.

    Thomas Birtwistle is a visual artist and photographer living in Portland, Maine. His work has been shown in galleries and museums throughout the region.

  • Don Peterson

    I am a mixed media artist who has always been captivated by the art of photography. My first significant experience with photography was at age twelve when my parents gave me a Brownie Holiday Flash Camera to document my first big out-of-state camping trip. I used it with fascination and delight.

    S.B Walker is an artist living and working in New England. His projects have been featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, Smithsonian Magazine, Photo District News, Lens Culture, Hyperallergic, among others.

    I grew up in a bookstore, and had access to the canon of early black and white photographers of the 20th century, and have taken that aesthetic for my inspiration.
