Since its debut in 1999, Photo A Go-Go has become one of southern Maine’s most-anticipated annual arts events – a memorable evening with live music, local drinks and eats, and a space full of old friends and amazing photography.

As always, we need YOU to make it happen! If you’re a photographer, click here to submit your work. If you’re not a photographer, share this page with all your photographer friends.

PHOTO A GO-GO – December 13

The Bakery Photo Collective hosts this annual silent auction to support its facility and programs. The event features work from established and emerging photographers at incredible prices, and also gains the attention of many collectors, curators and galleries in Maine.

Photo a Go-Go happens Friday, December 13th, at 630 Forest Avenue in Portland, starting at 6pm.

Deadline for JPEG submissions:  Tuesday, October 15 (11:59 PM eastern standard time).

  • Applicants can submit up to three photos.

  • Due to space restraints, please limit the framed size of your piece to no larger than 24” x 30”

  • This year, artists can specify if they’d like to receive a 25% cut if their work is sold, or donate the full sale of their work to the Bakery Collective. If you specify a 25% cut, please note that we cannot pay you until we receive payment from the buyer of your work.

Please prepare your images and related texts as follows:

Carefully edit a group of no more than three JPEG images. All submissions should be JPEG files, with a long side of 1800px. Only one image will potentially be chosen per photographer.
